The Trojans got 11 kills apiece from Ally Batenhorst and Jadyn Livings in a 3-0 loss to the Ducks
EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 16-ranked USC women's volleyball team (11-4, 3-2 Big Ten) fell to 11th-ranked Oregon (12-2, 4-1) in straight sets (25-18, 27-25, 25-19) at Matthew Knight Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

- Gr. OH Ally Batenhorst tied for match-high honors with 11 kills and added five digs.
- Fr. OPP Jadyn Livings also had 11 kills (5e, 21att) with .286 hitting and had four digs and three service aces.
- Sr. S Mia Tuaniga put up 32 assists to go with six digs and two blocks.
- Jr. LIB Gala Trubint led USC with 15 digs for her 58th-career match in double-digit digs added five assists. Her dig total made her the 20th Trojan to reach 1,000-career digs as she finished the night with 1,003.
- Redshirt Jr. MB Tyrah Ariail scored on seven kills (1e, 13att) with .462 hitting.
- Gr. OH Grae Gosnell picked up her seventh match in double-digit digs and finished with 10.
- For the Ducks, Mimi Colyer led all players with 17 kills on .432 hitting while Mackenzie Morris had a match-high 16 digs. Cristin Cline totaled 33 assists to go with five digs and a block. Colby Neal had six blocks to lead all players.
- The Trojans led by as many as two and were up, 17-16, when Oregon went on a 9-1 run to close out a 25-18 win in the opening set. USC's hitting errors mounted as the Women of Troy finished with a .047 hitting percentage in set one with 10 kills (8e) on 43 attacks. The Ducks hit .306 with 14 kills (3e) on 36 swings led by five from Colyer. On the Trojans' side of the net, Ariail had four kills to pace the USC attack and logged .800 hitting on five attempts without an error.
- USC pushed out to a three-point lead at 22-19, but the Ducks ripped through a 5-1 burst to take set point at 24-23. The Trojans saved two, but Oregon completed a 27-25 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match. USC hit .156 in set two with 14 kills (7e, 45att), and got six kills from Batenhorst but Colyer matched with six kills of her own as Oregon hit .149 with 16 kills.
- The Women of Troy held a momentary lead at 13-11 in the third, but Oregon went on a 10-2 run to lead, 21-15. The Ducks kept the pressure on and finished with 11 kills on 27 swings to hit .333 and closed out the match with a 25-19 win.
- The Women of Troy return home to host the Battle for LA as crosstown rival UCLA visits Galen Center for the first of two regular-season meetings on Sunday (Oct. 13). The teams will meet at 4:30 p.m. PT and be shown live on Big Ten Network. It is also alumnae night for the Trojans.
- USC fell to 56-21 all-time against Oregon and to 28-9 as the road team in the series. The Ducks have won four straight in Eugene since 2021 and earned the first 3-0 sweep in the series since USC had 3-0 wins in 2018 and 2019.
- The Trojans faced their fifth ranked opponent this season and fell to 1-4 in those contests.
- The Women of Troy dropped to 58-16 all-time in the state of Oregon.
