No. 16 USC Rowing Finishes 50th Annual San Diego Crew Classic

SAN DIEGO – The No. 16-ranked USC women's rowing team finished racing at the 50th-annual San Diego Crew Classic in Mission Bay on Sunday, April 2. After two days of competition, the Trojans placed seventh, sixth, fifth, fifth, and third in the Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight, Third Varsity Eight, and Second Varsity Four respectively.

- Sr. Eden Cooper-Squires coxed for the Trojan's Varsity Eight. Zoe McCutcheon sat the stroke seat for the Trojans. Succeeding the stroke seat was Celia Marino, Jenna Van de Grift, Annabel Aron, Grete Alttoa, , Sara Clarin, Clare Widzgowski, and Sonja Washburn.
- Sr. Lillian Lau coxed for the Second Varsity Eight. In the stroke seat was Chiara Meakin. Following Meakin was Ingrid Brast, Caroline Munch, Claudia Cabula, Anastasiia Slivina, Anna Molnar, Julia Karten, and in the bow was Isabella Lysaker.
- Fr. Dana Shearer sat in the coxswain seat for the Varsity Four. The Trojans stroke seat was occupied by Grace Eamer. Then was Zuzanka Pazourkova, Raquel Rodriguez, and in the bow was Alex DeLisle.
- Fr. Dana Shearer coxed for the Second Varsity Four. In the stroke seat was Sarah Panek. Following Panek was Monica Kwan, Sam Boucher, and in the bow was Franchesca Moore.
- Fr. Sage Saperstein sat in the coxswain seat for the Third Varsity Eight. The Trojans stroke seat was occupied by Lindsay Neithammer. Then was Bella Korellis, Gretchen Angelich, Jemima Morgan, Rhese Abrams, Jane Cox, Evita Frankevica, and in the bow was Caitlin McTygue.
- The Varsity Eight was first on the water for the Trojans. Coxswain Eden Cooper-Squires led the Women of Troy to seventh place with a time of 6:50.728. The Trojan boat was seven seconds behind California's boat with California's time being 6:43.506. USC competed in the grand final of this category. First place of the grand final was taken by Texas with a time of 6:29.985.
- The Varsity Four was the second race for the Trojans. Coxswain Dana Shearer guided the Trojans to sixth place with a time of 07:51.311. The Women of Troy were behind Notre Dame by seven seconds, with Notre Dame's time of 07:44.710.
- The Second Varsity Eight was the third race for the Women of Troy. Coxswain Lillian Lau guided the Trojans to a fifth place finish with a time of 07:07.989. USC was behind Washington by thirty seconds, with Washington's time 06:47.924.
- The Third Varsity Eight was the fourth race of the day for the Women of Troy. Freshman coxswain Sage Saperstein led the Trojans to a fifth-place finish with a time of 7:16.708. USC was seven seconds behind the fourth-place boat, California, who had a time of 6:58.473.
- The Second Varsity Four was the last race for USC. As freshman coxswain Dana Sheared coxed her second boat of the day, the Women of Troy crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 8:34.904. The Trojan boat was twenty-two seconds behind San Diego's boat with a time of 8:12.570.
