LOS ANGELES – Johnny Olmstead hit a bases-loaded triple to give the USC baseball team the lead in the seventh as the Trojans scored six late runs to take down Seattle, 9-4, at home on Wednesday night.

USC has now won six of its last seven contests as the Trojans move to 11-8-1 on the year. The Redhawks fall to 4-13.

Seattle erased a 2-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the fourth and then took the lead on a solo-homer in the sixth, but the Trojans came right back with an RBI single by Austin Overn to tie it in the bottom half of the inning.

Olmstead then cleared the bases with a triple to the gap in right center as USC scored four runs in the seventh inning. Adrian Colon-Rosado brought home Olmstead on a sacrifice fly as well in the frame. The Trojans tacked on two insurance runs in the eighth and Seattle would score one in the ninth, but that was it as Garrett Clarke closed the door on the mound.
