USC’s Lina Sculti, Kaitlyn Dobler Earn All-America Honors At NCAA Swim and Dive Championships

Trojans Lina Sculti and Kaitlyn Dobler each reached championship finals to highlight USC's efforts during the third day of competition at the NCAA Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee.
USC sits in 12th place overall with 86 points through three days of competition.
During finals, Sculti was sixth with 328.95 points. In doing so, Sculti picked up her sixth All-American honor and fourth on 3-meter. Sculti wrapped up the morning session with 342.75 points to earn her spot in the finals.
Trojan Nike Agunbiade (327.60), who just a few weeks ago won the Pac-12 3-meter competition, barely missed today's final by less than one point. Agunbiade headlined the 3-meter consolation final for USC, finishing fifth with 332.25 points.
Appearing in the championship final, junior Kaitlyn Dobler finished fourth in the 100y breaststroke, posting a 57.50 to pick up All-American honors for the third time in the event. Dobler, who won the event last season, had the top time during prelims (57.35) and had an entry time of 56.94, which would've been enough for first.
USC fifth year Isabelle Odgers clocked a 59.06 during the 100y breast consolation final to finish sixth in her heat and 14th overall.
During prelims, sophomore Olympian Marlene Kahler touched in 1:46.87 to finish 46th in the 200y freestyle.
In the 400y individual medley, freshman Justina Kozan was 23rd in 4:11.25, while teammate Ashley McMillan was 42nd in 4:18.72.
Junior Olympian Anicka Delgado finished 41st in the 100y fly in 52.88.
The Women of Troy closed out the evening with a 10th place finish in the 400y medley relay as Aria Bernal, Dobler, Hanna Henderson and Delgado combined to clock a 3:29.56.
Action at the NCAA Championships concludes tomorrow with swim prelims set to begin at 7 a.m. pacific time, followed by platform diving prelims at 9 a.m.
