The Women of Troy begin their season in Fish Field House at 9 a.m. Feb. 11
LOS ANGELES – No. 18 USC (0-0) opens its 2023 campaign on the road at Fish Field House against No. 3 Boston College (Feb. 11). First draw is set for 9 a.m. PT with the Women of Troy seeking to upset the Eagles, as Boston College heads into the season after a loss in last years National Championship.

The Trojans return a healthy portion of a lineup that includes the reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in senior Olivia Dooley and bringing back three of the remaining six Pac-12 All-Conference players (Ella Heaney, Shelby Tilton & Isabelle Vitale). Dooley was also selected as a member of the ILWomen preseason All-American Honorable Mention List alongside graduate transfer Emma Wightman. Wightman, a product of Florida, will join Dooley in headlining the defense. She finished her 2022 season with the AAC Defensive Player of the Year award and received an All-American Honorable Mention title.
The USC defense will be at the forefront of the Pac-12 as the duo of Dooley & Wightman are joined by returner Danielle Carson (33 groundballs, 18 caused turnovers) and goalkeeper Kait Devir (112 saves). On the offensive side, the Women of Troy will return a variety of weapons as Tilton, Heaney & Vitale will be a well-oiled machine of production. Those three combined for 165 points (107 goals & 58 assists). Also returning for the Trojans is junior Claudia Shevitz, who posted 38 points (30 goals & eight assists), and graduate student Katie Ramsay as she embarks on her fifth year for the Woman of Troy (57 draw controls & 19 points).
USC will need to replace Kelsey Huff (53 points) on offense and Kaleigh Brennan (40 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers) and Lizzy Wagner (33 groundballs, 22 caused turnovers).
Now in her 11th season at the helm, head coach Lindsey Munday has amassed 123 career victories with the Women of Troy and holds a .695 win percentage.
