USC's Boogie Ellis Named Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

Guard averaged 28.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in USC's two games
 USC fifth-year guard Boogie Ellis was named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 27-Dec.3, it was announced by the Conference office today (Dec. 4). It is Ellis' third Pac-12 Player of the Week honor, also winning for the weeks of Jan. 23-29, 2023 and Feb. 13-19, 2023. Â
Ellis averaged 28.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in USC's two games during the week. Ellis made 61.8 percent of his field goal attempts (21-for-34), including 63.2 percent from three-point range (12-or-19).
In the 106-78 win over Eastern Washington on Nov. 29, Ellis scored a game-high 28 points, making 8 of 10 shots from three-point range. The 8 three-pointers made were a career high and tie him for fourth on USC's all-time single-game three-point baskets made list. In USC's 89-76 loss to then No. 11 Gonzaga at the Legends of Basketball Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 2, he again scored a game-high 28 points. He also had four assists and led USC with 7 rebounds.
Ellis is averaging 22.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this season. He is also making 47.5 percent of his three-point attempts this season, averaging 4.0 makes per game. Ellis' 22.4 scoring average ranks tied for seventh in the country this season and his 4.0 makes per game from three-point range rank second.
