Boogie Ellis Scores 22 Points, But USC Men's Basketball Falls 91-75 At Auburn
December 17, 2023 | Men's Basketball
Boogie Ellis scored 22 points, but it wasn't enough as USC Men's Basketball fell 91-75 at Auburn in the Trojans' first true road game of the season.
Isaiah Collier scored 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting with three assists before fouling out in 18 minutes. Oziyah Sellers also scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting off the bench.
The Trojans (5-5) went up 9-6 to open the game courtesy of Collier's seven quick points, but the Tigers (8-2) broke out on a 24-7 run that all but put the game away late in the first half. USC had little answers for Auburn's scoring, which shot 52.9 percent from the field in the first half.
Despite going on an 11-3 run early in the second half, the Trojans never seriously threatened Auburn's lead. The Tigers led by as much as 23 points with 9:38 remaining and did not allow the lead to be trimmed to single digits.
USC continues its four-game road trip with a meeting at Alabama State on Tuesday before beginning its final Pac-12 season at Oregon and Oregon State next week.
