Senior OH Skylar Fields had 22 kills to lead the Women of Troy to a three-set win over the Huskies
SEATTLE – The 25th-ranked USC women's volleyball team (17-8, 11-4 Pac-12) completed a 3-0 win (25-20, 25-14, 29-27) to sweep Washington (14-12, 5-10) at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion on Friday, Nov. 10. It was the first straight-set win by the Trojans over the Huskies in the Emerald City since 2011.

- Sr. OH Skylar Fields led USC with 22 kills (4e, 52att) and hit .346 to go with five digs, two blocks, and a service ace. It was her 54th time in double-digit kills as a Trojan; and her 33rd time with 20 or more kills in a match. She now has 1,113 kills at USC and 2,039 in her career.
- Jr. S Mia Tuaniga set the Trojans to a .331 hitting percentage (51k, 10e, 124att) and totaled 40 assists to go with 10 digs for her 10th double-double of the season (25th career). She also added four kills, two blocks, and a service ace. Tuaniga's 40 assists give her 3,023 in her career and make her only the eighth USC player to record over 3,000 career assists.
- Fr. OH London Wijay tallied 10 kills (3e, 27att, .259) with 10 digs for her third-career double-double and added two aces.
- So. MB Tyrah Ariail scored six kills (1e, 13att) and hit .385 to go with five blocks (one solo) and two service aces.
- Sr. MB Lindsey Miller had four kills (0e, 9att, .444) with four blocks.
- Gr. OPP Kalyah Williams collected five kills (0e, 11att) and hit .455 to go with four blocks and two digs.
- So. LIB Gala Trubint racked up 15 digs to go with four assists. It was her 17th match in double-digit digs this season.
- For the Huskies, May Pertofsky had 10 kills with .474 hitting; and Madi Endsley had 10 kills on .182 hitting and added seven digs. Lauren Bays led all players with 18 digs.
- The Trojans hit .331 to Washington's .198 output and had more kills (51-38), assists (48-35), service aces (6-1), and blocks (9-3) than the Huskies. UW had the slight edge in digs, 53-51.
- Behind eight kills from Fields and a scorching .421 hitting rate, the Trojans took the first set, 25-20. USC led by four at 18-14 and then went in front by as many as six points at 23-17 before closing out the five-point win. Trubint supplied five digs and Wijay added four digs to go with her four kills. USC also served three aces and got three kills from Miller.
- USC led the second set by as many as 11 and finished off an 11-point win, 25-14, to lead, 2-0, in the match. Fields racked up four more kills and Wijay had two to go with her second service ace of the match to set the Trojans up at 23-13. USC hit .250 to outpace the Huskies' negative .125 output thanks to another three Trojan blocks.
- Fields had 10 kills without an error in the third set (22att) to hit .455 and scored the final kill of a 29-27 win off a bump set from Trubint. The Trojans trailed by four points several times but doubled up the Huskies on a 10-5 run to take a 24-23 lead for match point. The teams went back and forth for four more times before Fields put the final ball to the floor for the win.
- The Women of Troy head to the Palouse to take on ninth-ranked Washington State (19-6, 9-5) on Sunday, Nov. 12, at Bohler Gymnasium in Pullman at noon PT. The match will be shown live on the WSU Live Stream platform.
- USC improved to 45-33 all-time against Washington and went to 18-20 in matches played in Seattle. The Trojans swept the season series against the Huskies for the first time since 2019.
- The Women of Troy swept the Huskies (3-0) in Seattle for the first time since 2011 and for only the third time since 2003. USC got its 23rd 3-0 sweep over Washington all-time and its 11th as the road team.
- The Trojans get their seventh 3-0 victory of the season (third in a row) and improved to 7-2 in three-set matches.
- USC recorded three straight sweeps of Pac-12 opponents for the first time since Nov. 8-12, 2015 (Utah, Oregon, OSU).
- The Trojans go to 42-35 all-time in the Evergreen State.
- USC had more kills than its opponent for the 19th time this season.
