USC Swimming Hosts UNLV To Open Spring Season

The USC men's and women's swim teams continue the 2022-23 season with their first home meet of the spring against UNLV on Saturday (Jan. 7) at 11 a.m., at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.

In the most recent CSCAA rankings (Dec. 15) the Women of Troy checked in at to No. 10, while the men took the No. 20 spot.

The Women of Troy enter the meet with an unblemished record of 3-0, having defeated Utah, Arizona State and Arizona, while the men carry a 1-1 record (defeated Arizona, fell to ASU).

The UNLV Rebels are 2-4 in dual action on the mens side, while the women are 4-2.

FALL 2022 RECAP:
During the fall, USC swimming saw a handful of Trojans post NCAA B cuts, with NCAA Champion Kaitlyn Dobler earning an automatic cut in the 100y breaststroke (56.94). Other NCAA A cuts came from The Woman of Troy's stellar A relays (200y free relay – Delgado, Garcia, Henderson and Dobler – 1:27:38 // 200y medley relay – Henderson, Dobler, Delgado, Garcia – 3:31:58). On the men's side, Vaggelis Makrygiannis leads Troy with three NCAA B cuts (500y free, 100y back, 200y back).
