USC Women’s Volleyball Sets 2022 Schedule

The Women of Troy will open the season as hosts of the Cardinal & Gold Classic at Galen Center
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's volleyball team announced its 2022 competition schedule on Tuesday, July 5. The Trojans will appear on Pac-12 Networks for national and regional broadcasts in 12 matches this fall. All other Pac-12 contests and non-conference USC home matches will be streamed on the Trojans' streaming platform.
The Women of Troy open the fall as hosts to Colgate, UMBC, and Villanova for the Cardinal & Gold Classic, August 26-27, at Galen Center. USC then heads to Omaha, Neb., for the Bluejay Invitational hosted by Creighton (Sept. 2-3) at D.J. Sokol Arena. There, the Trojans will take on Northern Iowa and Creighton on Sept. 2, and then Kentucky on Sept. 3.
Continuing non-conference play, the Trojans head to the islands for two contests with Hawai'i both set for 7 p.m. HT on Sept. 9 and 10, at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. USC closes its 11-match non-conference schedule with a four-day tourney at Galen Center (Sept. 15-18) as New Mexico State, Milwaukee, and San Jose State come to visit.
The Trojans open Pac-12 play with crosstown rival UCLA at Pauley Pavilion on Sept. 22 and then host Washington State at Galen Center for their first home league match on Sept. 24. USC's first Pac-12 road trip takes the Trojans to the desert where they will face Arizona (Oct. 7) and Arizona State (Oct. 9) in Tucson and Tempe respectively.
USC hosts Oregon (Oct. 14) and Oregon State (Oct. 16) at home before wrapping the front half of Pac-12 play with a visit to the Bay Area for bouts with California (Oct. 21) and Stanford (Oct. 23). The Trojans begin the back half of their conference schedule on the road at Utah (Oct. 28) and Colorado (Oct. 30), but finish with five of their last eight matches at home.
The Women of Troy get Arizona State (Nov. 4) and Arizona (Nov. 6) for USC's Homecoming/Reunion Weekend. Stanford (Nov. 10) and California (Nov. 12) come to Galen Center for a rare Thursday-Saturday weekend to bracket USC's Friday-night football game on Nov. 11.
Leading into Thanksgiving week, USC heads north to take on Oregon State (Nov. 18) and Oregon (Nov. 20) on the road and then heads all the way up for its only regular-season meeting with Washington (Nov. 23) at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle. The Trojans close Pac-12 play as hosts to crosstown rival UCLA on Friday, Nov. 25, when USC celebrates Senior Day.
Last year, the Women of Troy (15-15, 10-10 Pac-12) finished seventh in the final Pac-12 standings. Under third-year head coach Brad Keller, the Trojans signed the nation's top-ranked incoming class of recruits according to PrepVolleyball.com, which includes Adonia Faumuina (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS), Rylie McGinest (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS), Jordan Wilson (Phoenix, Ariz./Hamilton HS), Madison Pietsch (San Carlos, Calif./Saint Francis HS), Dani Thomas-Nathan (Burbank, Calif./La Salle HS), Gala Trubint (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch HS) and Megan Verbiest (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Marymount HS).
