October 23, 2022 | Women's Rowing
BOSTON – The USC women's rowing team opened its 2022-23 season at the Head of the Charles on the Charles River this weekend (Oct. 22-23). On Saturday, the Women of Troy entered an Alumnae 8, which placed seventh, and a Club 8, which placed fifth. On Sunday, USC fielded two boats in the Women's Championship 8 where the First Varsity Eight placed 12th and the Second Varsity Eight finished 23rd.
TROJAN BOATS
"This weekend's goal was multi-faceted," said head coach Josh Adam. "We wanted to come out in force to celebrate rowing at this festival of rowing with our performance and Trojan Rowing Family. We wanted to check our fitness against other top tier programs. Finally, we wanted to race. We have some work to do as we head into spring, but we have a good starting point going into the next two regattas."
