USC Women's Rowing to Host UCLA and Stanford
April 28, 2021 | Women's Rowing
LOS ANGELES--The USC women's rowing team will host conference foes, No. 6 Stanford and crosstown rival No. 18 UCLA on Saturday (May 1).
This will be the second time that the Women of Troy have raced against the Bruins this season, falling 6.5 – 0 in their last meeting on Mar. 27 in Marina Del Rey, Calif. This is USC's first time facing the Cardinal in 2021.
The dual is scheduled to begin at 8:20 a.m. with the Varsity 8 hitting the water first. The Second Varsity 8 will race at 8:40 a.m., and the Varsity 4 will conclude the dual at 9 a.m.
While all three teams will be racing, USC and UCLA will use their traditional point system: the Varsity 8 race will be worth three points, the Second Varsity 8 race will be two points, the Varsity 4 will be one point and the Third Varsity 8 will be half a point. (USC will concede half a point to UCLA as they will not be entering a Third Varsity 8 boat).
