USC Women’s Rowing Wraps Up Racing at Dexter Lake Invitational

LOWELL, Ore. – The No. 20 USC women's rowing team participated in the Dexter Lake Invitational this morning (Apr. 24) at Dexter Lake in Lowell, Ore. hosted by Oregon State. The Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ each placed third in their races, while the Second Varsity 8+ placed fourth.
"As Trojans, we fought hard today," said head coach Josh Adam. "The results are not where we need to be. This year has been challenging with injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to fight on and move forward. And we need to take a giant step forward."

The Women of Troy faced off against crews from Oregon State, Gonzaga, Sacramento State and No. 1 Washington.
The morning began with the Varsity 4+ race. The Trojan boat coxed by Lillian Law and stroked by Ezi Emenike placed third behind Washington and Oregon State with a time of 7:37.91.
The Second Varsity 8+ hit the water next, coxed by Maddy Kim and stroked by Ingrid Brast. The Trojans placed fourth in this race clocking in a final time of 6:52.06.
Finally, the Varsity 8+ wrapped up the morning. Coxed by Eden Cooper-Squires and stroked by Grete Alttoa, USC placed third with a final time of 6:35.32.
The Women of Troy now turn their attention to hosting UCLA and Stanford on May 1 at their home boathouse in the Port of Los Angeles.
