- Gr. attacker Maddie McDaniel pulled in six draw controls and scored two goals.
- Jr. attacker Erin Bakes scored two goals and grabbed four draw controls.
- Sr. goalie Riley Hertford put up seven saves in the loss and had seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- For the Sun Devils, Kerri Clayton led with 11 points on six goals and five assists; and added three ground balls. Carley Adams had five goals on the day. Emily Glagolev scored four and recorded three assists. In goal, Berkeley Bonneau collected 11 saves and had three ground balls for the win.
- Arizona State's 20-goal total equaled the most a USC team had previously surrendered (May 20, 2017, at Boston College) and its 11-goal margin was the largest defeat for the Trojans by a Pac-12 opponent.
- The Women of Troy out-shot the Devils, 40-34, had more ground balls (23-22), and were only narrowly edged in the draw circle (16-15). USC turned the ball over three fewer times than Arizona State (16-13), but the Sun Devils were aggressive in transition and gave the Trojans few good looks at goal.
- ASU led by as many as 13 goals at 20-7 before the Trojans scored the final two. It was only the second time in program history that USC fell behind by more than 10 goals in a home game (Feb. 9, 2013, vs. Northwestern).
- USC remains home to host Fresno State (1-5) on Sunday (March 21) at noon PT on McAlister Field.
- USC fell to 5-1 all-time against Arizona State.
- The Trojans dropped to 48-12 all-time in games at McAlister Field and had an eight-game home win streak snapped (April 20, 2019, vs. Colorado).
- The loss is USC's first to an unranked opponent since an 18-11 defeat on the road at Oregon (April 8, 2018) and only the 13th all-time against an unranked foe.
- The Women of Troy were coming off an 18-10 win over California on the road, but had been paused due to COVID-19 protocols, which caused the cancellation of a game at Stanford previously scheduled for March 14.
