USC's Evan Mobley Named NABC Second Team All-America

Earns Third All-America honor this week
USC freshman forward Evan Mobley has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2021 All-America first team, it was announced today (March 18).
Earlier in the week Mobley was also named to the AP and U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-America second teams, becoming USC's first All-America selection since Sam Clancy in 2002.
Mobley has averaged 16.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.2 assists in 29 starts, the only Trojan to start every game this season. Last week Mobley was name the Pac-12 Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Pac-12 player to win all three awards in the same season and only the second in any Power 5 conference to accomplish the feat, joining Anthony Davis of Kentucky (2011-12).
Mobley scored 26 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had five blocks in each of USC's Pac-12 Tournament games to be named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team. He remains the only Division I player averaging at least 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks.
Mobley and his teammates will be playing the winner of the Wichita State-Drake First Four game in an NCAA first-round game on Saturday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. PT.
