Seniors Denise Mammolito and Kelsey McIntosh lead the pack with First Team honors.
USC's top four scorers and goalie have all earned spots on the All-MPSF honor roll for this shortened 2020 season. In spite of the sudden end to competition due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MPSF has moved forward with its usual end-of-season all-conference teams. Living large with their first All-MPSF First Team awards are senior captains Denise Mammolito and Kelsey McIntosh. An MPSF All-Newcomer Team pick last year, sophomore Bayley Weber has a place on the All-MPSF Second Team alongside fellow sophomore Grace Tehaney. And redshirt junior goalie Holly Parker has earned her first All-MPSF award with Honorable Mention. USC was ranked No. 1 in the nation and held a 12-1 overall record when 2020 competition came to a close.
Both already All-Americans, seniors Denise Mammolito and Kelsey McIntosh also stand tall in surpassing the 100-goal mark in their USC careers. With the NCAA's announcement that spring-sport seniors may receive an extra year of eligibility, the two captains will have a chance to bulk up their numbers in 2021. In 13 games played in 2020, Mammolito was USC's second leading scorer with 23 goals to give her a career total of 123. McIntosh, meanwhile, was fourth on USC's 2020 scoring charts with 19 goals to hold 103 in her career to date. Mammolito and McIntosh's selection to the All-MPSF First Team marks an upgrades from their Honorable Mention earned last season. A two-time All-American, Mammolito also was an MPSF All-Newcomer Team pick as a freshman in 2017.
The three other Trojans on thee honor roll have also risen in the ranks to net this year's accolades. An MPSF All-Newcomer Team pick last year, sophomore Bayley Weber was third on the team in scoring this season with 21 goals. Topping the scoresheet in 2020 was fellow sophomore Grace Tehaney, who punched up 29 goals in 13 games with a team-best nine multiple-goal outings. Weber and Tehaney's body of work in their sophomore campaign has landed the pair on the All-MPSF Second Team list for their first such accolades.
USC's redshirt junior goalie Holly Parker proved herself as one of the best in the conference, averaging 8.6 saves and allowing just 6.3 goals per game in her 10 appearances in 2020. She had accumulated 156 career saves when the season came to a close, ranking her as USC's No. 8 all-time goalie in under three seasons of work. For her standout efforts in the cage, Parker picked up her first All-MPSF award with Honorable Mention from the conference.
