The varsity four of the No. 11 ranked USC women's rowing team defeated No. 13 Wisconsin's varsity four on the final day of the Pac-12 Challenge in Redwood Shores, Calif. USC's varsity eight and second varsity eight placed second behind Wisconsin's boats in their respective races.
"Overall, the team had a good day of racing," said head coach Josh Adam. "Wisconsin is a great team that rows really well. The 1V and 2V learned some hard lessons. We have some work to do to elevate our performance. The 1V4 had a great race, and they get better every time they row together. We are all excited to get back to work in practice."

The varsity eight raced first and USC's boat coxed by Maddy Kim finished behind Wisconsin's with a final time of. 6:37.7 Bene stroked for the Trojans and was followed by Kasia Pilch, Chloe Brew, Astrid Steensberg, Claudia Cabula, Marliis Reinkort, Brooke Downes and Radka Novotnikova in the bow.
The second varsity eight also finished behind the Badgers clocking in at 6:47.1. Annika Christensen coxed the Trojan boat with Krete Koovit in the stroke. Koovit was followed by Ludovica Braglia, Lena Schröder, Ryleigh Megill, Molly Eberth, Taylor Richardson, Olivia Passanisi-Boullet and Ieva Medelinskaite in the bow.
Finally, the varsity four defeated Wisconsin's boat in the final race of the day. Olivia Lau guided the Trojans to a final time of 7:27.7 Bridget Parker powered the stroke followed by Amanda Sutrick, Lauren Blonien and Anicka Mackova in the bow.
The Women of Troy turn their attention to the Lake Natoma Invitational in Rancho Cordova, Calif. on April 13-14.
