No. 14 USC Men's Volleyball Visits No. 9 Stanford And No. 8 BYU For First MPSF Road Matches

THE FACTS
The No. 14-ranked USC men's volleyball team (7-4 overall, 1-0 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation)--already within a victory of equalling its 2018 win total--plays its first MPSF road matches of 2019 this week when it travels to No. 9 Stanford (7-5, 0-1) for a Valentine's Day encounter on Thursday (Feb. 14) at 7 p.m. PT and then visits No. 8 BYU (4-4, 0-2) on Saturday (Feb. 16) at 7 p.m. MT looking for its first win over the Cougars in Provo since 1996. The Stanford match airs live on Pac-12 Network, with Kevin Barnett mikeside.

RANKINGS
USC is ranked 14th in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll. Stanford is ninth and BYU is eighth.
OPPONENTS
USC is 65-33 all-time against Stanford and has won the last 3 meetings. The Trojans trail in their series with BYU, 43-22, and have lost the past 6 matches. USC hasn't beaten BYU in Provo since 1996, a string of 21 consecutive defeats. The Cougars host Concordia on Feb. 14 before facing the Trojans.
50TH SEASON
The 2019 season is the 50th of USC men's volleyball. Since 1970, the Trojan program has been among the finest in college: winning 4 NCAA championships, playing in 14 NCAA Final Fours and producing 20 Olympians, 34 All-American first teamers and 7 College Players of the Year.
