No. 10 USC Hosts Trojan Invitational to Open Crouch Era

LOS ANGELES – The 10th-ranked USC women's volleyball team opens the 2018 season and the Brent Crouch era this weekend as host of the Trojan Invitational at Galen Center. The Women of Troy welcome No. 5 Kentucky, No. 13 Creighton, and Northern Iowa for a round-robin tournament set for Friday and Saturday (Aug. 24-25).

The Trojans are ranked No. 10 in the AVCA presesason coaches poll. They were ranked No. 7 in the final poll of 2017.
The Women of Troy advanced to the 2017 NCAA regional finals (their sixth in the last eight years) and made their 27th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament (35th overall).
USC is 35-7 all-time in season-openers. The Trojans are 10-2 when they open a season at home (3-1 at Galen Center).
In home openers, USC is also 35-7 all-time; 8-3 at Galen Center.
