With MPSF Tourney Seed Spot On Line, USC Men's Volleyball Goes To No. 14 Grand Canyon, No. 13 Concordia For Regular Season Finale

THE FACTSÂ
The USC men's volleyball team (7-17 overall, 3-7 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation)--coming off a huge upset win over crosstown foe UCLA--concludes regular season play by going on the road for a pair of MPSF matches that will determine seeding for the upcoming MPSF Tournament: Troy first visits No. 14 Grand Canyon (17-10 overall, 3-8 MPSF) on Friday (April 6) at 6 p.m. MST/PDT and then goes to No. 13 Concordia (13-14 overall, 4-7 MPSF) on Saturday (April 7) at 7 p.m. PT.Â

RANKINGSÂ
USC is not ranked in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll. Grand Canyon is No. 14 and Concordia is No. 13.Â
OPPONENTSÂ
USC is 2-1 all-time against Grand Canyon, with the loss (in 5 sets) coming in the most recent meeting (this past February). The Trojans are 5-1 in their series with Concordia and they suffered the loss in the latest meeting (in 4 sets in February). Concordia hosts non-conference foe UC Santa Cruz on Friday (April 6) before hosting USC.
MPSF TOURNEY SEEDINGÂ
If USC wins at both Grand Canyon and Concordia this week, it will clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming MPSF Tournament and host a quarterfinal match on April 17 at 7 p.m. PT in the Galen Center. If USC loses once ot twice this week, the Trojans could fall to a No. 5, 6 or 7 seed and have to play their MPSF Tourney quarterfinal match on the road.
