Kyle Hurt gave the Trojans a strong start on the mound and USC came up with 13 hits, including a third inning where the team batted around and scored five times to take an early lead and then a ninth where use put things away. The Trojans move to 19-19 overall and 7-12 in Pac-12 play, while Oregon falls to 19-20 overall and 6-13 in conference action.
USC trailed 1-0 heading to the third before a sacrifice fly tied the game. Stephen Dubb then doubled in two runs with a shot down the left-field line and Matthew Acosta brought home two more with a ground ball through the left side.
Hurt tossed 6.2 innings, striking out seven and scattering five hits before giving way to Solomon Bates in the seventh. Bates came in with the bases loaded and two outs, inducing a popup on the infield to end the threat. The junior right-hander then worked a quick eighth inning before USC would tack on five more runs in the ninth.
The Trojans scored their first insurance run on an error and then got RBI knocks from Dillon Paulson, Ben Ramirez and Kaleb Murphy. Brian Gursky would toss a scoreless ninth to close out the win.

- Dubb went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and two walks.
- Murphy had three hits, an RBI and a run scored.
