Maud Megens Scores MPSF Player of the Week Honors

It’s the second selection of the year for the Trojan sophomore.
USC sophomore Maud Megens has netted her second MPSF Player of the Week pick of the 2018 season after her help in propelling the Trojans to a key win over California last weekend.
Megens scored a game-high four goals – assisting on the go-ahead goal in the second quarter and then scoring what would stand as the game-winner – during USC's 11-6 MPSF win over No. 2 California. In addition to her four goals and assist, Megens had two key steals and drew an ejection to help the Trojans to a crucial conference victory. The four-goal effort was Megens' seventh multiple-goal outing in her nine appearances this season. With its eighth straight win, USC improved to 18-1 overall and to 2-0 in MPSF play.
Megens and the Trojans next head north for a pair of MPSF games this weekend. The Trojans have a key matchup at Stanford set for 5:30 p.m. on Friday (April 13) in Palo Alto. That one will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks. Then, USC will pay a visit to San José State for a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday (April 14).
