USC Opens NCAAs With 13th In 800 Free Relay

First morning of prelims starts Thursday at 7 a.m. PT.
USC's 800y free relay finished 13th on the one-event, first night of the 2018 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday (March 14) in Columbus, Ohio.
The quartet of sophomores Louise Hansson and Tatum Wade, senior Lexie Malazdrewicz and junior Maddie Wright posted a 6:58.35 out of lane 1 in the third heat of the timed final. The time was 1.95 seconds off a top 8 finish.
The first morning of prelims is set for Thursday (March 15) at 7 a.m. PT with finals at 3 p.m., which is also the schedule for Saturday (March 17). Friday's prelims start at 6 a.m. PT with finals at 2 p.m.
