Trojans Head to No. 5 Arkansas This Weekend

THIS WEEK: The 7-1 USC baseball team looks to continue its seven-game winning streak with the team's first road series of the season at No. 5 Arkansas.

SERIES VS. ARKANSAS: The Trojans and Razorbacks have played once in the teams' histories, with USC picking up a 15-5 win in the 1996 NCAA Central II Regional in Lubbock, Texas.

Friday: USC: RHP Chris Clarke (1-1, 4.91 ERA) vs. UA: RHP Blaine Knight (1-0, 0.82 ERA)
Saturday: USC: LHP Quentin Longrie (1-0, 8.00 ERA) vs. UA: RHP Isaiah Campbell (1-0, 2.00 ERA)

LAST TIME OUT: USC picked up a 3-2 win over Loyola Marymount on Tuesday for the team's seventh straight win. Chase Bushor broke a 2-2 tie with solo-home run in the eighth inning to bring in the game-winning run. Brad Wegman got the win in relief and Connor Lunn picked up his fourth save in four chances.
LAST WEEKEND: USC swept Villanova this past weekend, outscoring the Wildcats 32-14. The Trojans put up double digit runs in each of the two first games, then won a tight contest on Sunday behind stellar pitching and a Dillon Paulson homer. USC has now won six in a row since dropping their season opener to Utah Valley.
LIGHTS OUT PEN: The USC Bullpen has given up just 11 runs in 37.0 innings of work for an ERA of 2.68. Trojan relievers have allowed only 20 hits and 13 walks for a 0.89 WHIP over eight games this year. Three USC relievers have yet to give up a run (Brad Wegman, Connor Lunn, Brian Gursky) in 21.0 innings of work, with Wegman and Lunn giving up just one hit each. Lunn is 4-for-4 in save opportunities.
