Trojan Recruiting Class Ranked Best in the West by Perfect Game

LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball 2018 recruiting class continues to draw national accolades after being recently ranked the 16th best in the country by Perfect Game. The No. 16 ranking for the class is the best of any Pac-12 or West Coast team according to Perfect Game.
The Trojans also had seven newcomers ranked in the Top 500 incoming freshmen nationally, including one in the top 15 and three in the top 50.
Preston Hartsell is the highest ranked incoming Trojan, coming in at No. 15, and Chandler Champlain (No. 34) and Ethan Reed (No. 39) are also in the Top 50. Just outside the Top 50 is Emilio Rosas at No. 54. Carson Lambert, Calvin Schapira and Clay Owens also came in on the Top 500.
USC's 14-member class was ranked as high as No. 14 by Baseball America and No. 21 by D1Baseball.com. Check out a full rundown of the Trojans' incoming class here.
