USC Women's Volleyball Alumni Match Set For August 18

The Women of Troy will close out two weeks of fall training camp against Trojan Alumnae next Friday
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's volleyball team will host the 2017 edition of its alumni match on Friday, August 18, in the Galen Center Practice Pavilion. The scheduled scrimmage against former Trojans is set to begin at 2 p.m. PT. Admission is free to the general public.

USC is set to open its 2017 campaign the following Friday (Aug. 25) as co-host of the USC/LMU Tournament. The Trojans start the day at Loyola Marymount's Gersten Pavilion and take on the Lions at 11 a.m. PT. USC then opens its home schedule as host to 16th-ranked Michigan at 8 p.m. PT at Galen Center. The USC-UM match will be shown live on the Pac-12 Networks.

Last year, the Women of Troy earned a program-record 26th consecutive berth into the NCAA tournament (34th overall appearance) and finished with an 18-14 overall record. USC was 10-10 in Pac-12 matches and finished in a tie for seventh place. The Trojans won three of their four pre-conference tournaments and became the 17th NCAA Division I program to cross the 1,000 all-time victories threshold with a win over Arizona State on Oct. 5. Head coach Mick Haley earned his 400th win as the Trojans' head coach.
