Three Women of Troy Earn National Academic Honors

Three members of the 2011 USC women's water polo team have tacked academic honors to their resumes with today's release of the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' 2011 Women's All-Academic Awards. Strong GPAs held by Trojans Joelle Bekhazi, Flora Bolonyai and Chelsea Silvers in the 2010-11 academic year have put the trio on the list with ACWPC Superior All-Academic honors.
Bekhazi, who recently finished her final season at USC, now is a three-time ACWPC All-Academic honoree. She held a 3.43 cumulative GPA in her senior season with the Trojans. Bolonyai and Silvers now have their first career All-Academic awards. Bolonyai returns for her sophomore season as USC's top goalie after posting a 3.61 GPA in her first season at Troy, and Silvers is lined up for her junior season with the Women of Troy after notching a 3.43 GPA as a sophomore.
