Bekhazi and Silvers Earn MPSF Academic Honors

The MPSF has tabbed two Trojans for academic accolades this season, with senior Joelle Bekhazi and sophomore Chelsea Silvers on the honor roll as 2011 MPSF All-Academic Scholar Athletes. It's the second selection for Bekhazi and first for Silvers, both of whom hold a 3.43 cumulative GPA as members of the USC women's water polo team.
A senior who just finished out her USC career, Bekhazi went for the pre-med track in completing her biological sciences major in three years. Already a two-time Academic All-American, Bekhazi has now earned her second MPSF Scholar-Athlete honors. Now eligible for academic acclaim from the conference as a sophomore, Silvers' strong GPA has carried her to her first award as a Trojan.
