Ciarelli Named 2011 Pre-Season All-American First Teamer

USC senior outside hitter Tony Ciarelli was named a 2012 pre-season All-American first teamer by the Off The Block college men's volleyball website.
Senior middle blocker Steven Shandrick and sophomore libero Henry Cassiday made the All-American second team.
In 2009 and 2011, Ciarelli earned All-American second team honors while helping guide the Trojans to the NCAA Final Four each year. Shandrick was USC's blocking and hitting percentage leader in 2011. Cassiday was an All-American third teamer last season.
USC begins its 2011 regular season with a home match against Alberta on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Galen Center.
