Trojans Shine At PGA's Farmers Insurance Open

Anthony Paolucci, an incoming 2011 freshman, and former USC great Jamie Lovemark, both made the cut in the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf in La Jolla, Calif., on Friday (Jan. 28).
Lovemark, a PGA Tour rookie who was a two-time All-American first teamer at USC and an NCAA champion in 2007, finished the first two days at 5-under 139 (69-70), tied for 17th.
A San Diego area native playing near his hometown, Lovemark had three birdies and an eagle in his opening round and three birdies in the second.
Paolucci, the number-one ranked junior in the United States who will start at USC in the fall, made the most of his amateur exemption and made the cut at 3-under 141 (70-71), tied for 45th. He had seven birdies in the first round to offset five bogeys and had four birdies Friday.
