USC head coach Mick Haley postmatch quotes
"We are going to struggle when we play so many players. The good part is that the freshmen are gaining confidence and that's one of the reasons for playing so many players early on in the season. Kendall (Bateman) is really getting comfortable with everyone, so it's not hurting her timing. What usually goes haywire is the passing and while we are not passing great so far, we are certainly doing ok in that regard. The real plus this morning was how many people let it all out in our serving. Our serving was aggressive this morning."
"I don't think we have seen the best of Kirby (Burnham) yet. As soon as she gets comfortable, her athleticism will start to pick up. She is a big time jumper and gets velocity as she gets stronger in the weight room. She is going to be a really nice player at this level."
