USC posted one NCAA automatic qualifying relay time and another NCAA consideration time on the first day of the 2005 Women's Pac-10 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Wednesday (Feb. 23) in Federal Way, Wash.
The foursome of senior Joanna Fargus, sophomore Kristina Sieper, freshman Emily Goetsch and senior Marisa Kozak finished the 200y free relay in 1:42.62, sixth in the nine-school timed final, but good enough to achieve the NCAA automatic qualifying standard.
Later in the meet, the Trojan quartet of Fargus, sophomore Cait Connealy, Goetsch and sophomore Kalyn Keller took fourth in the 800y free relay in 7:12.21, an NCAA `B' cut.
The meet continues Thursday through Saturday (Feb. 24-26). Prelims begin each day at 11 a.m. while finals start at 6 p.m.
Fans can follow along with live results and get the meet schedule on the home site of host school Oregon State.
