Bio
THIS SEASON: A 2007 senior, Kristina Sieper is a solid member of USC[apos]s top-flight breaststroke corps and looks to race in her third straight NCAA Championships. She has been a key in dual meets as well as on relays during her Trojan career.
2006: Sieper appeared at her second consecutive NCAA Championships as a 2006 junior, taking 31st in the 100y breast (1:03.26) and 45th in the 200y breast (2:19.73) ... At the 2006 Pac-10 Championships, she was 20th in the 100y breast (1:04.33), 28th in the 200y breast (2:21.78) and 45th in the 50y free (24.42) ... Her times of 1:02.51 in the 100y breast and 2:16.50 in the 200y breast at the Texas Invitational were personal bests ... She was also a 2006 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention selection for the second year in a row and was given the Megan Holiday Spirit Award at the team banquet.
2005: Sieper competed in three events at the 2005 NCAA Championships as a sophomore, taking 38th in the 200y breast (2:18.41) and swimming on Troy[apos]s 200y free and medley relays ... At the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, Sieper raced in two individual events, taking ninth in the 100y breast (1:03.01) and 44th in the 200y IM (2:08.36) ... At the 2005 U.S. World Championships Trials, Sieper was 34th in the 100m breast (1:14.78) ... She was also a 2005 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention selection.
2004: Sieper competed in three individual events at the 2004 Pac-10 Championships as a freshman, taking ninth in the 100y breast (1:03.46), 13th in the 200y breast (2:17.27) and 34th in the 200y IM (2:05.82). She also swam on USC[apos]s seventh-place 200y medley relay ... Sieper recorded USC[apos]s top scm time of the year in the 100m breast (1:12.40) and second best in the 200m breast (2:36.12).
HIGH SCHOOL: Sieper prepped at Esparanza High ... She was a prep All-American in the 100y breast, 50y free and two relays ... She is her school[apos]s record holder in the 100y and 200y IM and the 50y free.
PERSONAL: She was born on Nov. 26, 1985, in Hoffman Estates, Ill. ... She is a theater major ... Her father, Tom, played football at Arizona State and her mother, Karen, attended Montclair ... Her older sister, Erin, swims for Arizona ... Kristina enjoys surfing, dancing and going to the beach.
