Men's Golf Ties For Seventh At Waikoloa Intercollegiate

Hilo, Hawaii - The No. 19 USC men's golf team shot 283 on Friday to finish seven strokes under par and end up in a tie for seventh at the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate held at the Waikoloa Kings Golf Course.
The Trojans shot 857 over 54 holes to tie with UC Davis. Both were 16 strokes behind team champ Georgia Tech (841). UCLA was second (844), while Arkansas was third (845) and Arizona State was fourth (850).
Junior Nico Bollini and Ben Hayes each had a strong tournament, shooting a three-under 213 to tie for 18th. Hayes shot a season-low round of 68 on the final day, while Bollini shot 71 in all three rounds.
Anthony Kim of Oklahoma was the individual champion with a score of 205. Chez Reavie of ASU and Nick Mason of Hawaii-Hilo tied for second at 207, while Scott Gordon of UC Davis was fourth at 208.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Joshua Wooding tied for 39th at 217, including a second-round 69, sophomore Taylor Wood tied for 44th at 218 and senior Scott Oxandaboure tied for 49th at 219.
USC is next in action when it hosts the Cleveland Golf Classic on March 1-2 at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
