WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The USC baseball team was selected fourth by the Pac-10 coaches in the preseason poll released today. Stanford was picked as the favorite, earning seven of nine first place votes, followed by Arizona State, Arizona, USC, Washington, California, UCLA, Oregon State and Washington State.

The Trojans will open the 2004 regular season on Friday (Feb. 13) at Long Beach State with the home opener on Saturday (Feb. 14) at 1 p.m. at Dedeaux Field.
