Josh Rummonds Named Pac-10 Pitcher Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC junior left-hander Josh Rummonds was named Pac-10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 7-13, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Tuesday.
Rummonds, from La Selve Beach, Calif., earned the win on Fri., April 11 with six and 2/3 innings of relief after entering the game with the Trojans losing in the third inning. He allowed only one run on four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. Rummonds also retired the side in the ninth as USC scored the game-winner in the bottom half of the inning in a come-from-behind 7-6 win.
The Pitcher of the Week is the first such honor for Rummonds, the 51st Trojan to earn the weekly recognition.
