Three Trojans Make All-Regional Team

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - All-American Jason Williams of Duke, who scored 34 points, 19 of them in a row, against UCLA in the semifinal and then had 28 in the championship Saturday night was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA tournament's East Regional.
Williams was joined on the all-East Regional team by Duke's Shane Battier and Brian Scalabrine, Sam Clancy and David Bluthenthal of Southern California.
In the first four tournament games, Williams had 115 points, the first player to score 100 or more before the Final Four since Allen Iverson of Georgetown in 1996.
The last player to have more points than Williams heading into the Final Four was Loyola Marymount's Bo Kimble, who scored 143 in four games in 1990. Williams needs 39 points to break Duke's record for most points in an NCAA tournament set by assistant coach Johnny Dawkins, who had 153 in 1986.
