Baseball Begins Operation:Omaha Wednesday Against Santa Clara

LOS ANGELES -- The No. 2 USC Trojans will open their 2001 baseball season Wednesday (Jan. 31) against Santa Clara at 3 p.m. at Dedeaux Field. Sophomore Anthony Reyes is scheduled to start for the Trojans.
USC returns seven position players and four starting pitchers from last year's 44-20 squad that earned the school's 20th College World Series appearance.
