Women's Volleyball Moves into Second with Sweep of Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - Senior outside hitter Jennifer Kessy collected 19 kills and hit .341 leading eighth-ranked Southern California to a 15-8, 15-4, 15-12 sweep of No. 18 Arizona Sunday afternoon. USC improved to 11-3 on the year and moved into second place in the Pac-10 at 6-1. Arizona fell to third at 6-2 and dropped to 14-2 on the season.

Senior middle blocker Jasmina Markinkovic added 15 kills and a .379 hitting percentage for USC, while senior setter Janice Mounts collected 45 assists.

The Cats were led by sophomore middle blocker Marisa DaLee who hit .400 with 10 kills. Freshman setter Dana Burkholder collected 29 assists and a team-high 13 digs.
