PORTLAND - The first game of a three-game series between No. 6 USC and Portland State was rained out on Thursday.

The two teams will try again on Friday with a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.

Senior RHP Seth Etherton, the Pac-10's career strikeout leader, will try for his 11th win in one of the games on Friday.

This is the final series of the regular season for USC. Regional bids will be announced on Monday at noon on ESPN.
