THIS SEASON: Honnie Vandeweghe-O’Shea enters her third season at USC.
2023 SEASON:
• Scored 26 goals as a sophomore
• Scored in 20 games with five multiple-goal outings
• Scored three goals in the NCAA Tournament
• Recorded a career-high hat trick vs. Concordia
2022 SEASON:
• As a Spring 2022 addition to the Trojan roster, scored 25 goals in 15 games
• Named to MPSF All-Newcomer Team
• Had eight multiple-goal games including two goals against Fresno State in the NCAA Championship
• A member of the NCAA Tournament roster
NATIONAL TEAMS:
• Vandeweghe-O’Shea was a member of the U.S. Youth National Water Polo Team from 2017-19
HIGH SCHOOL: Vandeweghe-O’Shea was a First Team CIF All-North Coast selection at Santa Margarita Catholic… Was named Calihisports Sophomore of the Year… A two-time All-County First Team Selection… Named to All-CIF-SS 1st Team and Division 2 Co-MVP.
PERSONAL: Vandeweghe-O’Shea is majoring in social sciences (psychology)... Parents are Tauna and Mike… Her mother Tauna Vandeweghe was on the USC swim team in 1981-82 and also played volleyball at USC in 1981… Tauna also swam for Team USA in the 1976 Olympic Games... Has three siblings, Coco, Beau and Mychal… Coco is a professional tennis player.... Enjoys going to the beach in her free time… Lists Kobe Bryant as her biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to go on an African safari… Also hopes to travel to New Zealand… Born on July 7, 2003.
