2020 · PLAYED SPRING 2021
As a sophomore, Horin played in four matches with one start (11 sets) before sustaining an injury that sidelined her for the remainder of the season… finished with seven kills on 21 attacks with three blocks and three service aces.
2019
As a freshman, Horin played in all 32 matches and saw action in 120 sets… finished with 88 kills and ranked second on the team with 121 blocks (1.01 bps)… recorded career high of 11 blocks (4 solo, 7 assists) at Arizona State (Nov. 27)… enrolled early at USC and played with the Trojans during the spring season.
HIGH SCHOOL
Horin was a four-year letterwinner at Munster High School in Munster, Ind., under head coach Brett Boden… PrepVolleyball.com’s No. 7-ranked Senior Ace… as a senior, named to the Northwest Crossroads All-Conference first team, chosen as The Times All-Area Player of the Year, IHSVCA 4A All-State first-team, All-District first-team, and an AVCA Under Armour High School All-American… named first-team All-NCC as a freshman… helped lead her high school to the Indiana sectional championship in her sophomore and senior years… named to the 2018 Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) All-America team… MaxPreps Frosh 59 list in 2015… three-time scholar-athlete… chosen for Indiana Academic All-State honors as a senior… also lettered in track for four years as a discus thrower.

Madison Elise Horin was born on March 29, 2001, in Chicago, Ill.… parents are Carrie and Andrew Horin… has one brother named A.J.; and two sisters named Allison and Jillian… mother Carrie (Ponto) played basketball at UIC (Illinois at Chicago) from 1991-93 and ranks 10th (as of 2019) in school history for career free-throw percentage (.750)… enjoys doing stage makeup and hair for dramatic productions… can play the piano and alto saxophone… an active and vocal advocate for mental health in student-athletes… majoring in psychology.
