Connor Olbright is in his first season (2019) as the volunteer assistant coach for the Women of Troy.

Olbright previously served as a graduate assistant for the men’s volleyball team at Concordia University (Irvine, Calif.) for two seasons (2018-19) and was an assistant coach for the men’s program at Golden West College (Huntington Beach, Calif.) for two seasons (2016-17).

From 2018-19, Olbright served as the head coach of the Pinnacle Athletic Club 18s squad in Long Beach, Calif. Prior to his stint with Pinnacle, Olbright was the head coach for the Ohana Athletic Club (Fountain Valley, Calif.) Boys 15 and 16 Black squads and the Girls 15 and 16 Teal teams. Olbright began his coaching career at the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club in 2014.

Olbright was an AVCA and Volleyball Magazine All-American setter at Long Beach State where he earned four letters (2010-14). He earned All-MPSF honors as a junior (2013) and finished as the school’s fourth-all-time leader in career assists (4,103). As a senior, Olbright ranked second in the NCAA for assists (11.46 aps). He graduated from LBSU in 2014 with a bachelor of science in management.

Olbright prepped at El Modena HS (Orange, Calif.) where he earned all-league and All-CIF honors. As a player, he helped lead his Balboa Bay squads to championships in the 16 and 17 Open Divisions and was a member of the U.S. Youth National Team (Italy), the U.S. Junior National Team (Brazil) and the USAV’s Pan-Am squad (Mexico). Professionally, Olbright played one season for the Tierp Volleyballklub in Sweden (2014-15).
