Gia Larez has been the Assistant Director of Sport Brands and Communications at USC since 2021. Larez was named the primary media contact for women's basketball on October 1, 2025 after previously serving as the interim men's basketball sports information director. In addition to working with women's basketball, she also serves as the primary contact for both men's and women’s tennis. Gia also serves as the producer for USC Football Radio (including Trojans Live and the Trojan Tailgate Show).
Previously, Larez worked with football and men's basketball. She began her career as a graduate assistant SID at USC from 2019-2020.
She came to USC from Syracuse, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2019 in communication and rhetorical studies. She also earned a minor in marketing. At Syracuse, she was on the club swimming team and served as an intern in the Athletic Communications department where she worked primarily with football.
Larez earned her master’s degree in strategic public relations from USC in 2020.
