Dori Bene is in her second season (2022-23) as an assistant coach after spending one year as a volunteer assistant coach and a USC rower for five years. From 2014-19, she was a USC Rower and was a volunteer assistant coach from 2019-20 until elevated to a full-time position.
As a USC rower, Bene helped the Women of Troy earn an invitation to the NCAA Championships where the team placed 12th overall in the nation. Bene finished in third place with the Second Varsity 8 in the C Final at NCAAs. She earned 4th place as a team at the Pac-12 Championships.
Bene, a native Hungarian, is a 21 time national champion. She competed in Women’s Single Sculls competition at the 2018 Senior World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Bene is a multi-year member of the Hungarian National Team and was part of Hungary's Olympic Development Program for two years. She was named Hungary's 2014 Female Rower of the Year as a U23/Senior. Bene placed eighth at the U23 World Rowing Championships in 2013 and 2014 in the Lw2x. She claimed sixth at the 2014 Senior European Championships in the Lw1x.
Bene has earned a bachelor's in human biology from USC (2019).
