Anna Wierzbowska is a senior port entering her fourth year with the Varsity Eight boat...In 2011, co-captain Wierzbowska was again a mainstay in the fourth seat rowing in every race and helping power the team to a fifth place finish at the NCAA Championships as well as a third place finish at the Pac-10 Championships...She also powered the boat to the Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic in addition to wins over Clemson, Michigan State, Virginia and UCLA...In 2010, Wierzbowska was a key contributor in the Trojans fourth place finish at the Pac-10 Championships and eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships...She helped USC to a first place finish at the Head of the American from the sixth seat before taking over the fourth position for the rest of the year. After the switch the boat finished first at Ohio State and tallied wins over Notre Dame, Clemson and UCLA...in 2009: Wierzbowska earned a spot in USC[apos]s Varsity Eight from the get-go, becoming an integral part of the Trojans[apos] efforts all year. At the 2009 NCAA Championships, she stroked from the four seat on USC[apos]s Varsity Eight, helping USC to a ninth place finish, 11th overall. She helped USC to fifth at the Pac-10 Championships and an 18-second win over UCLA. At the Charles River Challenge, she helped USC to a win in the morning session and a fourth at the San Diego Crew Classic. Wierzbowska rowed for Azs-Awf Krakow for four years...at the National Rowing Championships in August 2008 Wierzbowska was a member of boats which took second place in the four boat and fifth place in double-scull...placed fourth in single-scull at the Academic National Rowing Championships, May 2008...third place in double-scull at the 2007 National Rowing Championships...second place finish in double-scull, second place in the four boat at the 2007 Academic National Rowing Championships. Anna Maria Wierzbowska was born in Krakow, Malopolska, Poland...a 2008 graduate of the British International School of Krakow...enjoys cooking, reading and hiking...she is majoring in international relations.
