2015
As a junior, Tarleton served as a team captain and started all 20 of USC’s games… named to the IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region Second Team… selected for MPSF All-Conference First Team, MPSF All-Tournament Team, and MPSF All-Academic Team… finished the season with 34 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers, and 14 draw controls… pushed her career ground ball total over 100 to make her the first Trojan to reach that mark… had six games with three ground balls or more including a season-high five ground balls against UC Davis (April 17)… had season highs of three caused turnovers in two games (vs. Fresno State, Feb. 24; vs. Liberty, March 9).
2014
As a sophomore, Tarleton served as a team captain and started all 18 of USC’s games… an IWLCA All-West Region Second Team selection… MPSF All-Conference Second Team… MPSF All-Tournament Team… MPSF All-Academic Team… named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week for the week of April 28 following a game in which she set a new USC record with eight ground balls against Northwestern on April 26… led the team with 23 caused turnovers and ranked second on the squad with 33 ground balls... also had five draw controls… had four games with three ground balls or more and seven games with at least two caused turnovers… caused a team season-high four turnovers against Oregon in the MPSF semifinals (May 1).
2013
As a freshman, Tarleton appeared in and started all 18 of USC’s games in the program’s inaugural season… served as a team captain… named MPSF All-Conference First Team… IWLCA All-West/Mid-West Region Second Team selection… ranked second in the MPSF for ground balls (2.22 gbpg) and caused turnovers (1.78 ctpg)… finished with 40 ground balls, 32 caused turnovers, and 18 draw controls (third on the team)… had four games with at least four ground balls, which were each tied for team season-highs… set a new USC record with five caused turnovers (to go with three ground balls and two draw controls) in a 12-9 win over Marquette (March 16).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Tarleton was a three-year letterwinner at Ridgewood High School… also won letters in soccer and basketball… named Most Valuable Defender, first-team All-Suburban League, and All-County as a senior… first-team All-Suburban League and first-team All-County as a junior… second-team All-Suburban League as a sophomore… helped lead her team to three Group 4 New Jersey State Championships… two Tournament of Champions titles as a sophomore and junior… played six years with Metro Magic lacrosse club... four-year honor roll at Ridgewood.

Courtney Fennell Tarleton was born on June 23, 1994, in Ridgewood, N.J…. parents are David and Nancy Tarleton… has three brothers, David, Thomas, and Liam… brother David played men’s lacrosse at Mt. Saint Mary’s University (Md.)… cousin Kelly Conheeney played women’s soccer at Virginia Tech… majoring in cinematic arts critical studios with aspirations to become a television show writer.
