THIS SEASON: All-American Alejandra Aznar returns to USC for her fourth season of competition.
2023 SEASON:
• Scored in 22 games with 12 multiple-goal games for 36 total goals on the season
• Scored three goals at the NCAA Tournament, including two in the final
2022 SEASON:
• Scored 22 goals in her second season of competition at USC
• Scored in 13 games with six multiple-goal games
• Tallied three season-high hat tricks, with one coming in the MPSF semifinal win over Cal
• Scored four goals at the NCAA Tournament, including one in the final
2021 SEASON:
• Sat out the 2021 season at USC to train with the Spanish National Team in preparation for the Olympic Games
2020 SEASON:
• Did not compete in the 2020 season at USC
• Took a leave of absence to train with the Spanish National Team in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics
2019 SEASON:
• Earned All-America Honorable Mention and All-MPSF Honorable Mention as a true freshman
• Also named to MPSF All-Newcomer Team
• Third on the team in scoring with 41 goals
• Scored in 23 games with 11 multiple-goal outings
• Set her career high with five goals scored in her USC debut vs. Cal Baptist on Jan. 18
• Scored five goals during the MPSF Tournament and five in the NCAA Tournament
• A two-time MPSF Newcomer of the Week selection
NATIONAL TEAMS:
• Is member of the Spanish National Team
• Has been a member of the Spanish Junior National Team
• Competed for Spain in beach water polo at the 2019 FINA World Championships, earning silver at the exhibition event
• Won gold at the 2018 Junior European Championships and silver at the 2016 Junior European Championships
• As a member of Spain’s Youth National Team, won gold and was named MVP of the 2018 Youth World Championships
• Also won gold and was the MVP and top scorer at the 2017 Youth European Championships
• Won silver at the 2016 Youth World Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Aznar graduated from Institut Centre d’Alt Rendiment Esportiu de Sant Cugat in Barcelona... Played for Club Natació Sant Andreu and Club Esportiu Mediterrani.
PERSONAL: Aznar is majoring in international relations… Parents are Cristina and Javier… Has one sister, Adriana… Her father, Javier, played professional water polo in Spain… Favorite foods are sushi, Spanish food and ice cream... Born on June 11, 2000.
