2024-25: 2024 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Honoree…Placed 11th in her debut for USC at the Waves Invite…Led all Trojans at the Big Ten Championships…Set a personal best at the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 22:18.2.
BEFORE USC:
Teixeira-Dasilva competed in cross country and track and field at Washington University of St. Louis from 2021-24. She posted a career-best 6K cross country time of 22:25.5 in placing 12th at the Dan Huston Invitational on Oct. 1, 2022. She competed at the 2022 and 2023 NCAA Division III Midwest Cross Country Regional and at the 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. In track and field she has personal bests of 4:33.78 in the 1500m and 5:01.42 in the one-mile races. Her one-mile PR came at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, where she placed 12th in the event.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Teixeira-Dasilva is a 2020 graduate of Newton North High School. She ran an outdoor two-mile best of 11:47 which still ranks 11th on the school’s all-time list. She had an indoor two-mile PR of 11:40.04.
PERSONAL:
Helena was born on August 28, 2022 in Newton, Mass…She is an Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering major at USC.
