Knodel Leads USC Cross Country at Big Ten Championships

The Trojans finished 18th at the Forest Akers East Golf Course

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The USC cross country team finished 18th at the Big Ten Championships in the women's 6K, hosted by Michigan State, on Friday morning.

Sydney Knodel led the Trojans for the third race in a row, finishing in 124th place (97th in scoring) with a time of 22:20.4.

Jacqueline Duarte came in less than a minute later in a time of 23:07.9, securing 149th place. Next in was Haley Spoden with a time of 24:10.8 and a 160th-place finish.

Rounding out the day on Forest Akers East Golf Course were Paige Unger and Isabella Duarte. The two remained nearly side-by-side for most of the 6K, taking 164th and 165th place, respectively. Unger secured a time of 24:29.4 with Duarte right behind in 24:34.6.

The Trojans will have two weeks before returning to the course at NCAA West Regional Championships, hosted by Sacramento State.
